The Department of Computer Applications was established in 1998 with well-equipped facilities and dedicated teaching faculty. In its formative years, the department was headed by Mr. Sathyanarayanan and later by Mr. R. T. Ashok Kumar until 2006, laying a strong foundation for academic growth and skill-based learning. From 2007 to 2021, the department was led by Dr. P. S. S.
